iOS 14 Soon to Be Announced, Apple’s WWDC Schedule Revealed

iOS 14 Soon to Be Announced, Apple’s WWDC Schedule Revealed
Apple today unveiled the lineup for its 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference. Originally slated to be held in person, the conference will be 100% online thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

This will be the first time in the 31-year history of the event that attendees will not be meeting in person. Though it’s adopting an all-digital format, Apple claims this will be the “biggest WWDC to date.” WWDC will kick off on Monday, June 22, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time with a keynote event.

The keynote will be streamed online via Apple.com, Apple’s Developer app, Apple’s Developer website, the Apple TV app, and YouTube. It will be available publicly to everyone, not just registered Apple developers.

Following the keynote, Apple will be holding a “State of the Union” address, which will provide detailed information on the latest updates for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. This developer-centric presentation will be available on the Apple Developer website and the Apple Developer App.

The developer-focused presentations will begin June 23 and continue through June 26.

Apple has scheduled more than 100 technical and design exhibitions, including 1-on-1 sessions with Apple engineers. All the videos recorded for these sessions will be released daily via Apple’s Developer app and website.

Ahead of WWDC 2020, Apple is unveiling its new Apple Developer forums. The online forums will link together its worldwide network of developers with over 1,000 Apple Engineers. Forum members can ask and answer questions with Apple’s engineers and among themselves.

Apple will use the forums during WWDC, allowing developers to ask questions, browse the forums, and search for questions.

Developers interested in following WWDC 2020 should download the Apple Developer App for additional information on signing up for engineering sessions and details on the session videos. Developers without the app will receive information via email or can find it on Apple’s Developer website.
